EU wants tech independence from the US, but it’ll be tricky


The European Union and its citizens seem increasingly unhappy with
the current flow of data, privacy violations, and the overall power
of data being in the hands of a few big corporations, located in
the USA. The European Commission wants to change this. At their
flagship event in Vienna, I got some interesting insights on how
Europe wants to stand up for its citizens and shift the balance of
power towards Europe. New legislation is on it’s way which could
severely challenge the position the US tech behemoths have in
Europe. They could also create opportunities for new ventures
