TWITTER has gone down across the world – with users complaining about not being able access the social media site.
The cause of the fault is unknown as more than 17,000 have reported problems trying to get on to Twitter on Down Detector.
Many have said the site is not working or not loading as they to get to the social media platform via the app or on a web browser.
Online outage tracker Down Detector tracked the thousands of reports flooding in from around the world.
The issue appears to have affected a range of Twitter services, including the website, Android app, and iPad app.
Large parts of the UK have been affected including the South, the Midlands and parts of Scotland.
The US has also been seriously hit as large parts of New York and California are dark red – mean a high volume of reports are coming from that area.
